Predictions for the future of battery storage and renewables from the BNEF's latest Energy Storage Outlook report

Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s latest Energy Storage Outlook report highlights that the rise of electromobility and demand for stationary storage will drive lithium-ion battery costs down by a further 50% by 2040. Additionally predicted in the report, solar and wind energy are set to supply almost 40% of the world’s electricity by 2040, up from 7% today.


The Report takes a global view and Suncredit Energy are excited to be a part of the worldwide energy transition to a largely renewable system supported by storage, with its UK pipeline of 355MW of battery storage projects.
