On 20th August 2015 Rhondda Cynon Taf Planning Committee unanimously voted in favour granting planning approval for this project. The solar farm will be located at Trecastell Farm, Llanharry, Pontyclun CF72 9LY. It is hoped that construction will commence in November 2015.
The scheme will harness the sun to generate up to 4 megawatts of green energy with the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels silently converting the sun’s energy to electricity. The proposed solar park will meet the equivalent electricity needs of up to 1,290 homes, saving carbon dioxide emissions and contributing to the UK’s renewable energy and climate change targets that include a binding target to reduce UK carbon dioxide emissions by 80% by 2050.
We welcome feedback and comments about any aspect of the project. More detailed information is available below. Please email us at email@example.com or call 0207 060 5225 for further information.
